Declare And Display
I’ve been learning to pencil sketch lately. I’m not very good yet, but something about it feels sacred to me. Creating something that didn’t exist a moment ago.
I spent about seventeen dollars on a set of pencils and a sketch pad. I started by watching short videos, copying their pencil strokes to draw different animals. My favorite so far is a bird. Even though I followed a template, every line was drawn by me. It’s not perfect, but it’s an original and a reflection of my effort.
That’s when it hit me that this is what God does with us. He created you, which means you are a display of his craftsmanship and made to declare His glory.
Maybe you wish you were taller or had a different personality. Or maybe you’ve looked at others and wondered why you aren’t more like them.
But what if the parts of you you’ve always wanted to change are the very lines God drew on purpose?
You were drawn by the Creator’s hand to declare His glory and display His craftsmanship.

1 Corinthians 10:31 - use it all for Him!
I love the length of your writings and the images it puts in my head. Thanks so much for sharing!
